We ask that your pre portion each meal for your pet. We do this for a number of reasons, including but not limited to:

• ensure  consistant measurements. You would be surprised how many different versions of a cup there is. One persons definition of just under, heaping or level is not necessarily the same as another. Let alone the differences when it isn’t an actual measuring cup used, or even it is described as a handful.
• ensures we have enough and our staff can quickly verify at the beginning and during the stay that we have enough meals. When taking the bulk container or entire bag we have been caught short an alarming percentage of the time.
• We have limited storage. Each pet will have an allocated mouse proof storage container in a defined storage area for their food in either the Caine or feline kitchen. If we are storing everyone’s container from home, we will not have room within the designated spaces. We can store overflow supplies for those staying for extended periods (greater than 21 days) but we still ask that the food for the first 21 days be measured.
• Liability.. Once food has been dispensed it can not be repackaged and returned to you. By bringing us your bag of food that would normally feed your dog for longer than their stay, you/we will be wasting good food.
